Methodology and UML training
For professionals who need to formalize their know-how and share it with colleagues with different skill profiles.
Learn UML by sharing with professionals
Professional developers in industry, for example in automation or embedded systems, will quickly familiarize themselves with object-oriented concepts and a project methodology that brings control and serenity.
The 3 stages of training :
- Object-oriented concepts
Learn how to use object-oriented concepts to build modular, scalable software.
- Master the UML language
Master the UML formalism and design reflexes.
- Control your projects
Establish the link between software analysis and design activities, and budget and schedule management.

The main themes of UML training
Object-oriented concepts
The aim of this first day is to introduce you to the key concepts of object-oriented thinking through a number of illustrative examples. This phase is necessary to establish a solid methodology.
For a better understanding, we will practice on different exercises, focused on :
- abstraction
- heritage
- polymorphism
- structuring knowledge
- classification
Modeling with UML
With this sound understanding of object-oriented design, you’re ready to tackle the 13 UML diagrams and their equivalents in the functional analysis and software design phases, the subject of this second day.
You’ll learn about the different structural and behavioral diagrams, with examples from various applications to help you understand these representations and their meaning.
- the origins of the UML
- UML language
- structure diagrams
- behavior diagrams
- recommendations
Project methodology
On Day 3, the OSDM methodology will be presented and practiced in a full-scale example.
You’ll understand how to start a functional analysis, design a software architecture, plan a project realistically and manage development with precise follow-up.
OSDM can then be used as a basic model for your own project management methodology.
- workflow in a project
- functional analysis
- software architectures
- planning
- development follow-up
- documentation
